triple leather sole
The triple leather sole is made by stitch-welting. In this very elaborate process, 132 brass pins per pair are hammered into the sole, and the tip is strengthened by an inserted brass plate. The pins or nails not only serve as ornaments, they strengthen the sole, especially in the areas of greatest wear, and thus contribute to the long life of your Dinkelacker shoes. The triple leather sole is used only for the Rio last form. Heinrich Dinkelacker use one of the highest-quality and most durable sole leathers on the market. The sole leathers come from the Rendenbach Tannery in Trier, Germany, and are made according to the so-called pit tanning process (pure plant materials).
